Obituary of Darlene T. Barrett
Bedford Darlene T. Barrett, 70, of 1206O Street, Bedford, died at 1:45 am on Friday, June 27, 2008 at Dunn Memorial Hospital following a lengthy illness.
Born December 31, 1937 in Williamson, West Virginia, she was the daughter of Gilbert and Nora (Pruitt) Trent. She married James Barrett and he survives. Darlene was a graduate of the College of St. Scholastica in Duluth, MN. She had been a stenographer for the FBI in DC and was a Girl Scout leader, an instructor for Weight Watchers and a member of Tri Kappa Sorority. She retired as Director of Medical Records for Dunn Memorial Hospital. She was a member of Little Theatre of Bedford and The Calvary Chapel in Bedford.
Survivors include her husband, James of Bedford; two daughters, Cynthia Barrett and her husband, Allan Edwards of Atlanta, GA, Christine Cobos and her husband, Robert of Rochester, NY; one son, Thomas Barrett of Minneapolis, MN; one sister, Dorothy Deal of Tampa, FL; two grandchildren, Katie and Ethan Cobos both of Rochester, NY; her step-mother, Nina Trent of Chattaroy, WV. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Vivian Trent. Funeral Information
Memorial services will be conducted at 7:00 pm on Wednesday, July 23rd at the Calvary Chapel at 12th & O Streets, Bedford and at 7:00 pm on Thursday, July 24th at the Missionary Baptist Church in Chattaroy, West Virginia. Donations Information
