Tom I was so sorry to hear about your mom when you and I talked today. She was quite a lady to put up with you and Brett when you two worked for her at the hospital!!! 26 July 2008

Mr. Barrett:
I am so very sorry for the loss of your wife. Chris and I have been married for almost 33 years and I'm learning more and more just how important our wives are to us. It is my deepest hope that your grief will be short and that the memories you have of Darlene will give you comfort through these hard days. I trust a loving God. The hope and the promises He made us will give us the strength to carry on until the time we are called home. Through all the pain we have great reason to rejoice. And Darlene is just out of sight...waiting for you. Just imagine how beautiful she is and the great reunion that awaits. Love never dies. And we will endure because His promises are forever.
Most sincerely: Doug and Chris Hamilton 7517 188th St Ct East Puyallup, WA 98375
P.S. I'm still singing! My dog doesn't even howl!!!

Darlene and I were cousins and had not seen each other for over 50 years. We both attended the WHS reunion in 2007. Neither one of us knew what the other might look like. She visited me at my hotel room. I kept thinking there would be more time for our visit but too soon the reunion was over. I'm so grateful that we did get that short visit together. She was a beautiful woman.

Darlene and I had a special relationship, especially as we grew older. We laughed and cried together as we talked about the past, present and future. I know about her love for family and am so glad she had grandchildren so, after a number of years of hearing my stories about my grandsons, she had her own stores to tell me about her grandchildren. I will miss so much picking up the phone just to talk to my sister that I loved so much.

I remember those fun days of doing Brownies with Darlene and Ann Joseph. We had fun there at the old Stalker School. Darlene was always cheerful and fun to be around. She will be missed. My thoughts and prayers are with you as you work through your grief in the days ahead. May God bring you peace and comfort during this time.
