Obituary of Joshua Ray Mooney

Bedford Joshua Ray Mooney, 25, of Bedford, died at 6:20 pm on Saturday, February 19, 2005 at the home of his mother. Born December 23, 1979 in Bedford, Joshua graced the lives of his mother, Deborah K. DeLaney, grandparents, Jack Duke and Deanna (Pierce) DeLaney, his aunt, Danette DeLaney, his uncle (and good friend) J. Douglas DeLaney. Joshua worked at Dial America in Bloomington and a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Bedford. He was an avid reader and loved music. He was a loyal Notre Dame and Steelers football fan and loved St. Patricks Day. He has five brothers and sisters, Christopher J. Mooney and Jacqueline Mooney both of Bedford, Alexander S. Mooney of Bedford (currently stationed in Iraq), Mrs. Jason (Tiffany Buchanan) Kristin of Clear Creek and Mrs. Zachary (Katherine) Haley of Lawrenceport; two nieces, Emily Raine Haley and Kylee Kristin; his maternal great grandmother, Lottie Pierce of Bedford and numerous great aunts, uncles and cousins, his very dear friend, Amy Pentzer, his mothers fiance, Richard M. Buchanan and his mother and brother, Annis and Jon Buchanan of Clear Creek. He was preceded in death by his great grandmother, Betty M. Kendall, his grandfathers, Jack Duke DeLaney and Stanley Buchanan and his dear friends, Kyle Davis, Jeremy Oakley and Daniel Easton. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 am on Friday, February 25th from the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary. Burial will follow in Dixon Chapel Cemetery.
