Thinking of you , like the wind that blows at night and I can hear the leaves of the trees swaying together in harmony. Your soul forever soars higher that I could ever imagine. Jealousy is the only feeling that comes over me because I wish I could soar along side of you competing on who can soar the highest. I hear your contagious laugh (and sometimes out of nowhere I will just start laughing).. it’s really interesting when a thought comes to me; of a memory of us back in the day putting each other down in that loving way we did... what adds to the craziness is when I burst out in laughter in public - the stares I get, but you taught me many moons ago not to give a sh$$- and I’ve forever lived by your motto. I check in here every now and then and know you laugh thinking gosh this is so stupid- expressing feelings- but it is my one way of connecting to you, I talk to you outloud, I’ve felt your presence- a peace comes over me like no other when in my life I need it most. Not many people leave their mark in this world - forever stamped on someone’s heart. I know now we all meet people for reasons sometimes our time is cut short but in our short time you taught me so much. Like in 5th grade when we first met and school was cruel - it was you and I navigating together from day one without a word said you knew I had your back and I knew you had mine. A connection without thought, planning or a word spoken already had the path layed out before us. If I could have one more moment with you , words would be minimal for sometimes saying barely anything at all is the most powerful message one can embrace. Thank you for visiting me in my dreams, checking on your family, leaving your scent only the closest to you know. Time doesn't stop but know everyday your in my thoughts and you still to this day make me smile. I hear your laugh, I feel your sun on my face - time doesn't make it easier missing you always. I never knew what a true friend was until you came into my life. Answers may never be questioned and maybe life is meant to be that way, a journey to figure out- if you could hear me know you'd say enough already and smart off to me like the way you always did. Gone but never forgotten, life isn't the same without your laugh and your rowdiness , boring per say. If only I could get one more day with you and hold onto it. As kids we just wanted to grow up too fast, I would slow down take you in, breath. You taught me what life means, to not care what others think and do what makes you happy. I don't understand why you had to go so soon, but I'm thankful you graced my life even if it was short lived. Love you, Josh!
