Obituary of Anna Sue Rainey

Bedford – Anna Sue Rainey, 76, of Bedford, died at her residence Saturday morning January 18th. Born June 8, 1943 in Greene County, she was the daughter of Roy Andrew Michael and Ruth Elizabeth (Hart) Michael. She married Jerry Rainey on February 5, 1965 and he survives. She was a member of the Englewood Baptist Church and was a homemaker. Survivors include her husband Jerry, of Bedford; one son, David Lee Rainey and wife Lelah Michelle, of Bedford; one daughter, Barbara Ann Rainey-Eaton and husband Nelson Courtney “Skip” Eaton III, of Martinsville; two grandchildren, Jerianna Parker Eaton and Nelson Courtney Eaton IV “Gus”; one great grandson, Ryder Cornett; sister, Donna Kelly, of Bedford; a brother, Dennis Michael and wife Vicki, of California; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Ruth Michael. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 am on Tuesday, January 21st in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Pastor Stephen Carter officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 pm until 8 pm on Monday, January 20th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
