So very sorry to hear. I really enjoyed seeing her every year at the Turpen reunions. She was always a dear and happy soul that lit the room. She will be deeply missed by everyone that knew her.

Barb, Skip, Parker and Gus
Barb, So sorry to hear of your mom's passing. Surround yourself with family, friends and may the sharing of memories and lots of hugs help you through this difficult time. Lean on Skip.
Parker and Gus, It is sad to lose a grandparent, someone you have always looked up to, someone who had the perfect advice and so much more.
Family, let all the lives she touched remind you what a wonderful lady she was to all that knew her. Remember all those memories and life lessons that she created and instilled in you that will help you now get through this sad time.

Most families don’t take the opportunity to spend time together as ours has. For four generation’s our family has gathered each week with each other for dinner. Even as we’ve grown and expanded it’s a tradition we’ve tried to hold on to. Aunt Sue was an integral part of that gathering especially for the children. She was always smiling and laughing and was like a magnet for the kids. For several years the little ones could count on her to sit in the floor and play with them. No matter how crazy their imagination she was always willing to play. After the great nieces were born she became the Saturday night bath giver at Mamaw Rainey’s house. Some of my fondest memories are those two giggly toddlers (Haley and Jess) running circles through the house totally naked screaming “naked babies”. I would alway hear Aunt Sue giggling in the background. She would then comb the tangles from their hair and get them in their jammies. Sometimes they would then play or read a book as the girls settled down before heading home. Aunt Sue used to say times spent watching and playing with those kids was the best entertainment. Though the bath times quit as more kids came along the playtime didn’t. She’s been known as “tuie”, Elmo, Aunt Sue, Maw Maw and more. She cherished each name and answered to them all. I am sad that my granddaughter Lilly is so young and won’t have the time to build that kind of relationship with Aunt Sue. I can only pray that she is old enough to remember and hold dear the time she did have.

In this day and age people aren't lucky to have the same family their entire lives
Well I did all the Raineys and now one of the anchors of my life passes on to her journey with The Lord
I want to tell my Aunt Sue I love you always
