Obituary of Dwayne Koontz

Bedford – Dwayne Koontz, 55, of Bedford, died Monday, December 11, 2017 at his residence.

Born October 10, 1962 in Bloomington, he was the son of Richard Higgins and Betty Irene Koontz. He married Tammy Gayle Barrett and she preceded him in death on October 4, 2011. He was a maintenance worker for Cook Inc.

Survivors include his father, Mike Koontz and wife, Kay; a brother, Kevin Koontz and wife, Tammie; a daughter, Isabella Renee Richardson; a granddaughter, Lindsey Joann Richardson; a step-son, Josh Richardson. He was preceded in death by his biological father, Richard Higgins; his mother, Betty Irene Koontz and his wife, Tammy.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Friday, December 15^th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with John Overby officiating. Burial will follow in the Garrison Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until the hour of service on Friday, December 15^th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
