Dwayne and I met in 1982, we both drove old Camaro's and rode Honda motorcycles. We became good friends and rode together constantly. Mike and Dwayne gave me my first and only chance to drive a racing go kart, a thrill I still remember. We were out late one night and Dwayne spilled his drink in my brand new truck. When I looked outside early the next morning there he was with a bucket of cleaning supplies, scrubbing away on the interior. That's the kind of friend he was, a good one. Rest in peace my friend. You will be sadly missed.

To The Koontz Family: We are so sorry to hear about Dwayne. He was such a great Kid and athlete, I remember him as a very hard worker and one of those young men that made coaching a pleasure. I Remember when Duwayne moved in with us in the big house at Top of the World sports camp, loved havin him around..... it was like havin “ ANOTHER “ brother, only he had red hair like me. I haven’t seen him much through out the years, sadly but via FB we stayed in touch and I saw him on occasion at wrestling events. The world lost another great one❤️

Dwayne was my best friend through high school. He was never one to seek attention so his many acts of kindness weren't always recognized. I regret the years post-high school that we drifted apart but we were never far from each other in spirit and I'm blessed that we reconnected these past few years and I could see him as a father to Izzy. Prayers for Mike, Kevin, Izzy and all who love him.... I'm terribly sorry and heart-broken I can't be at his services....

We have been friends since Unionville Middle School(1973 or so), We played Football, Wrestled and helped out in Cheerleading as stunt men together in High School. Proudest moment was going to the Indiana State Wrestling Finals with Dwayne and my twin brother Dean. Dwayne placed 3rd in a very tough weight class. You will be missed my Friend, Dale Blubaugh
