Obituary of Karl Eric Leatherman

Indianapolis – Karl Eric Leatherman, 61, of Indianapolis, formerly of Bedford, died June 4, 2015 at his residence. Born September 25, 1953 in Bedford, he was the son of John David and Alberta (Reynolds) Leatherman. He was a laboratory technician serving as the lead person for the Indiana State Department of Health for 29 ½ years. Karl also enjoyed his many years of involvement with the SCA. Survivors include six siblings, Vonn Leatherman and his wife Mary, of Houston, TX, Kay Remillard, John K. Leatherman and Lisa Jakub all of Collinsville, IL, Kerry Bouwens and his wife Debbie of Colorado Springs, CO and Debbie Garner and her husband Robert, of Phoenix, AZ; several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be conducted at 11:30 am on Saturday, June 27th, at the White River Baptist Cemetery in Buddha (7705 Tunnelton Road). In lieu of flowers, the family asks that friends consider memorial contributions be made to the American Diabetes Assoc. or the American Heart Assoc.
