Rest well, Karl. I'm saddened greatly to hear of your passing. I wish I could have attended your service but only now heard of it. I'll always remember gaming with you in better times and encountering you in the halls of Inconjunction. I'll keep you in my thoughts all my days my friend.

I was very sorry to read about Eric's passing. He was my best friend in jr. high and high school, and a groomsman at my wedding. I would appreciate it if someone in the family could get in touch: davesoucie@hotmail.com. Thank you

What does one say when they lose a Brother. Especially when they lose a brother that truly cared when I "Appeared" in your life as a Step-Brother. You were the one that was there as the "Older Brother" that kept me sane when I was growing up. The all night James Bond Film Festivals at the Shadeland Drive In will always be remembered. You bought me my first Hand Gun! You let me drive your car before I had a license. I know you are watching as all of these tributes are being written so I want to thank you for taking care of Lisa when I could not be there over the years to help her. Know that you are missed and that I loved you as a Brother. I now miss you as a Brother.

Karl will be greatly missed. He was always great to work with when I was at ISDH and came through for me I don't know how many times when I needed media in a hurry. I always enjoyed his sense of humor and his willingness to help out when people were in need. Condolences to all his family and loved ones.

Karl was one of the friendliest and most generous people I know. He would take the shirt off his back for you and still ask could he do more. He was the reason for a lot of my laughter over many years of working with him at the Indiana State Dept.of Health, sharing stories of his life experiences was always fun to hear. He had an overwhelming amount of knowledge and wisdom, you knew if you needed an answer to something or needed a clever way to repair or fix something Karl was the go to guy for whatever your needs may be. He was always happy he could help you and would go and extra mile to see it through even if that meant bringing something from his home or coming to yours. He will be terribly missed by many.

Carl always encouraged people to think well, even if they have to think fast. More importantly, he encouraged people that they CAN think well and think fast. And through that he will always be with us.
Thank you for your friendship, Carl.

I wanted to tell you how sad I am for the loss of Karl. My sympathy to you and your family - for the world has lost a genuine friend. I know Karl thru the SCA, and have been friends with him for nearly 20 years now. Although schedules have not lined up where we could hang out like we use to, Karl was my apprentice brother in the SCA, and while life kept him from doing alot in the SCA the last 8-10 years, he was always busy behind the scenes helping out. He will always be in our hearts and thoughts. He was a good friend who brought joy and laughter into our lives, and a kind/generous soul. He was always helping people.
While the world is not as bright of place without him in it, his light will shine brightly with the ones who left before him as he watches over us.

Karl once rolled three 6s in a dice game at one of the Colonial Williamsburg taverns. We weren't surprised since he was, of course, "Karl the Lucky."
