You always just wanted me to be a respectful young man with good manners. When I was a kid I didn’t like it because it felt like discipline to always be corrected when talking or using improper English, but as I get older and I reminisce on it, these are memories that give me a little bit of peace and hope in a cynical world. You were always nice to me, despite how ill-behaved I was as a child. You always seen the good in me and gave me the benefit of the doubt when others didn’t. Somehow you would scold me for my wrong doings but still send me away with a smile. Thanks for being positive to me and giving me memories that make my very hard lived life a little more tolerable. I remember being in your living room when I couldn’t have been but 4 or 5 years old. I remember the pac-man game we all played when we were at your house. Lots of my earliest memories rest with you. You cared in a world full of people who typically don’t.

Mommy, I miss you so much....my life has been in shambles since you left my world. I need you more than ever..I hope that you are at peace and I know that you are looking down on me and trying to help me anyway you can with God's help. I just wish it was as clear to me as if you were standing beside me talking to me. I have never been good at reading minds? It hurts like yesterday and it's been three long months without you! You were the only one who could make me feel strong enough to do anything!
I Love you with all my heart and one day I hope to see you again.

To Marsha's Family and Friends:
I am so sorry for your loss. I didn't have the privilege and pleasure of knowing Marsha myself. I can see from the outpouring of love in the messages posted here that she was a very special lady. I work with her son Ed in Indianapolis. To him, his father, his sisters, and other family members and friends, I offer my sincere condolences and prayers. My heart aches for you.

Ed and Family, Fifteen years ago Marsha took me under her wing and taught me my new job in security at GM. She didn't have to, and definately not with all the warmth and kindness that defined her. The unwaivering comfort of her smile, her cooking. I feel very lucky to have spent time with Marsha. You will be in my prayers.

It has been many years since I last saw Marsha back when I was a young Tupperware dealer in Bedford. I still remember you and your sister having such a great crowd of ladies get together. I had some of my most fun parties with your family. My heart goes out to your family, as I can only imagine how much you will be missed.

I know God loved you more, but it still hurts knowing I'm not going to see you again. I'll miss the coupons you use to send me and you always addressed the envelope as Pearly May! LoL. I love you and will keep my other family in my prayers.

Sissyface, I miss you so much. I have not only lost you as my sister, but as my very best friend. I'm so glad you and I were very close and I would not have had it any other way. Although you are gone in body, you will always be with me in spirit. I find myself wanting to pick up the phone and call you as we always did daily. I miss the talks we had, which was many. You and I shared a bond like no other. I am very happy that God gave me ther perfect gift...you as my sister. I know you are in heaven now, and I hope to see you again someday, but right now I am hurting so bad and I miss you so much. You were the best sister anyone could ever hope for and, of course, a good friend to many, many people.
By the way, I hope you liked your make-up. We made that promise to each other a long time ago, remember? You looked very pretty.
Marsha, just know that I will always love you and you have a very special place in my heart, which has been there for many years and will never change. Life will never be the same without you. I miss you immensely.

Ed and Family,
I want you to know how very sorry I am. As you are aware Marsha was among my most favorite people in the world, I loved her like a sister. Her love for my Dad was very apparent and his for her was equal. Seeing the long lines at the funeral home I was not the only one that loved her. Without question Marsha sits at table of Christ.
God Bless you and yours.
Denny and Melinda Underwood.

To all the Brown & Brashear Families:
I had already signed the messages page on Sun Dec 28, but after seeing the huge turnout for Marsha's viewing, I felt compelled to add more:
Both your families have been instrumental in shaping Marsha's character and personality. I must say, you all did a terrific job.
Marsha was one of the most loving and best loved people I've ever known, I think she was truly an angel who was put on this earth to unify people.
Just the fact that so many people braved the biting cold and wind and stood in line for so long to speak to you is a great testimony to what a special person Marsha was.
I know it must have seemed to be both a curse and a blessing to have such a large crowd, because I know how tired you all must have been, but still your hearts must be warmed by the outpouring of so much love and concern from so many people.
A lot of people left and then came back, hoping the crowd would thin out (I did too!) but from what I saw and heard, that NEVER did happen.
We were all so sorry to have lost our dear friend, but I'm sure our feelings are insignificant when your loss is counted.
Marsha meant many things to many people, but if we must sum her up in one word, it would have to be love, and that is a huge reflection on all of you.
You can be sure she has a special spot in Heaven and will be watching over all of you, and you can all be very proud to have been related to her. May God Bless You All in the coming weeks and months, With Great Affection and Tender Mercy!
PS After signing the messages the first time, I heard from two friends I'd lost touch with because they saw my post, so Marsha is still bringing people together!

Marshee, I don't know how I'm going to handle this! You are such a driving force in our family! Everything we do as a family revolves around you! I don't know who will take the reigns now that you're gone! I didn't get to come home for Thanksgiving but you assured me that you would see me this summer! I want that so much and now I can't have it!We talked about going to the casinos and shopping when you came to visit. What about the Nationals? That was the one time we knew we would all be together! I know you worried about me more than yourself! Thank you for waiting on me to get a little better so that I could be here for you! I love you so much and you will always be with me! I'm blessed to know you all and know how hard it is to lose a loved one, I'll always remember Marsha as she kept a silly picture I drew for her YEARS ago then showed it to me not so many years ago for a laugh.
