Obituary of James E. Quinn
Bedford James E. Quinn, 86, of Bedford, died at 3:05 am on Saturday, December 28, 2013 at IU Health Bedford Hospital.
Born November 25, 1927 in Martin County, he was the son of Elmer and Velma (Wininger) Quinn. James married June Mills on October 8, 1949 and she survives. He was an inspector for the Conrail Railroad in Avon. James was a U.S. Army veteran serving in the Korean War and was a member of the Wesleyan Church in Plainfield.
Survivors include his wife June of Bedford; two daughters, Sherry Denbo of Mooresville and Debbie Mason and husband, Kevin of Bedford; five grandchildren, Quinn Mason, Kristen Johnston and husband, James, Annie Jones and husband, Dan, Brad Mason and Sean Denbo and wife Estee; one great granddaughter, Masie Johnston; and one sister, Ruth Street of French Lick. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 pm on Monday, December 30, 2013 in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary. A private burial will be conducted on Tuesday, December 31, 2013 at Green Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3:00 pm until service time on Monday, December 30, 2013 at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
