I remember Leon as such a friendly lady. She was friends with my parents, and when we would go to Owensburg to sing, she always made sure she told us that we were a blessing to her. One time at the high school in Oolitic, I was helping serve at some kind of fundraiser, and when I waited on her and her friends, they told me I sure was good help. I later became a waitress at the local Dari-Dream, but they left me that frist tip at the sshool. She left me several after that time at the restaurant. She was always special to me in those growing up years, because she always took the time to make me feel special to her.
