Obituary of Lela M. Price

Bedford Lela M. Price, 87, of State Road 458, Bedford, died at 4:30 pm on Thursday, January 8, 2009 at the Bedford Regional Medical Center. Born October 6, 1921 in Martin Co., she was the daughter of Harve and Chloe (Baker) Taylor. She married Merle H. Price on July 5, 1939 and he preceded her in death. She was a clerk for Bell Cleaners in Bedford and of the Baptist faith. Survivors include one son, Darrell Price and his wife, Brenda of Bedford; one daughter, Janice Newell and her husband, Harold of Bedford; one sister, Nova Thompson of Springville; four grandchildren, Patricia Dalton, Andrew Price, Amy Ingrille and Jan Newell; eight great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and one sister, Beulah Newland. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Saturday, January 10th from the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary. Burial will follow in New Union Cemetery.
