Obituary of Clarence C. Poole
SpringvilleClarence C. Poole, 84, of State Road 54 West, Springville, IN; passed away at 11:20 P.M. Friday, May 8th at the Garden Villa Nursing Facility.
Born on February 25, 1925 in Simpson County, Kentucky, he was the son of Walter Poole and Josephine (Summers) Poole. He retired as a Tool and Die maker at Crane NWSC; was a member of the Hilltop Pentecostal Church in Avoca, a member of the Bedford Masonic Lodge F & AM #14 and a WW II Navy Veteran where he served on the USS Atlanta. He married Nanna Eldridge on May 10, 1972 and she survives.
Surviving with his wife, Nanna of Springville are three daughters: Renee Quinn and her husband, John of Bedford, Suzanne Walker and her husband Bob of Bedford, Glenda Staley and her husband, Jim of Oolitic; five sons: Steven Poole and his wife, Patricia of Bedford,Greg Poole and his wife Cathy of Florida, Ronnie Prince and his wife, Sandy, Wayne Prince and his wife, Debbie all of Bedford, and Larry Prince of Patriot, IN; twenty one grandchildren and several great grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, May 13th from the Elmwood Chapel of Day & Carter Mortuary with the Rev. Bill Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in the Hilltop Pentecostal Church Cemetery with military rites accorded by members of the American Legion Gillen Post #33. Friends may call from 4:00P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Tuesday, May 12th and from 10:00 A.M. until the service on Wednesday at Day & Carter Mortuary.
