Obituary of Lloyd C. Parsley

Bedford Lloyd C. Beanie Parsley, 96, of Bedford, died at 7:46 pm on Friday, December 5, 2008 at his residence. Born June 13, 1912 in Daviess County, he was the son of John Cleveland and Nina Celestia (Mitchell) Parsley. He married Mary Elizabeth Simmerman on October 12, 1940 and she preceded him in death on September 28, 2006. He was a powerhouse operator retiring from Central Foundry in October 1973 and a member of the Central Church of Christ in Bedford. Survivors include two sons, Clovis Parsley and his wife, Jeanette of Bedford, Dennis Parsley and his wife, Rhonda of Heltonville; eight grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; two sisters, Mary Girdley of Owensburg and Berniece Baker of Bedford; one sister-in-law, Adelene Parsley of Owensburg. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, one brother, William Leo Parsley; two sisters, Coy Hatfield and Izota Fields. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 am on Tuesday, December 9th from the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Minister Darrell Simon officiating. Burial will follow in Cresthaven Memory Gardens. Friends may call from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Monday, December 8th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
