Obituary of Barbara A. Parker

Bedford Barbara A. Parker, 72, of 67 April Sounds Addition, Bedford, went home to Jesus at 1:01 pm on Thursday, September 16, 2004 at Dunn Memorial Hospital. Born July 14, 1932 in Lawrence County, she was the daughter of Silas and Lilly (Wilson) Patton. She married Oval Parker on May 19, 1951 and he preceded her in death on January 28, 1976. She retired from RCA in Bloomington after thirty years and was a member of Peerless Pentecostal Church. Survivors include two daughters, Janice Lynn Earl and Norma Sue Sullivan both of Bedford; one son, Eddie Parker of Springville; seventeen grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; one brother, Arnold Dean Patton and one sister, Gloria Mae McKeaigg. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers, Eugene and Roger Patton; two sisters, Diana Patton and Peggy Terrell and one granddaughter, Erica Parker. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Monday, September 20th from the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Bro. Alan Phillips officiating. Burial will follow in Springville Christian Cemetery. Friends may call from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Sunday, September 19th and from 12:00 noon until the hour of service on Monday at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
