Obituary of James Padgett

Owensburg James Willkie Padgett, 64, of Owensburg, IN, died at 5:15 am on May 13, 2005 at the Bedford Regional Medical Center. Born August 28, 1940 in Greene County, he was the son of Leland D. and Hazel C. (Johnson) Padgett. He married Edna Silvers on November 22, 1961 and she survives. He was a retired security guard for Indiana Limestone Co. and a member of the Kentucky Ridge Baptist Church. Surviving with his wife, Edna is one son, Rick Padgett and his wife, Lisa of Owensburg; one daughter, Nancy Miller and her husband, Darrell of Brownsburg; two grandsons, Michael & Ryan Miller; one brother, Johnny Padgett of Spencer and one sister, Edna Hobbs of Indianapolis. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Leland, Jr. and Ralph Padgett and one sister, Wilma Porter. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am on Monday, May 16th from the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Pat Blyeth officiating. Burial will follow in Springville West Cemetery. Friends may call from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Sunday, May 15th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
