Obituary of Emil Richard Olson

Bedford Emil Richard Sim Olson, 92 of Bedford, died at 3:10 am on Monday, March 26, 2012 at Stonebridge Health Campus. Born June 19, 1919 in Chicago, he was the son of Emil and Helga (Larson) Olson. He married Mary K. Metzger on January 25, 1941 and she survives. He was a senior buyer for S.S. Kresge and K-Mart Corporation. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church. Survivors include his wife, Mary of Bedford; one son, Larry Olson and wife, Linda of Bedford; two daughters, Carol Olson of Elgin, IL and Karin Blinkilde and husband, Peter of Greenville, MI; four grandchildren; three great grandchildren; one brother and one sister. He was preceded in death by his parents, a grandson and a brother. Funeral Information Cremation was chosen. No calling hours or services are planned.
