Obituary of Olin V. Oliver

Bedford Olin V. Oliver, 87, of Oolitic died at 4:30 am on Wednesday, October 31, 2007 at Garden Villa of Bedford. Born March 10, 1920 in Lawrence County, IN he was the son of Fred and Martha (Hillenburg) Oliver. He married Mary Brafford on July 22, 1943 and she survives. He was an Army Veteran serving in WWII, a member of UAW Local 440 and was of the protestant faith. He retired from General Motors after 31 years. Surviving with the wife Mary are two sons, James Oliver and wife Kathy of Springville, Dennis Oliver and wife Beverly of Pinhook, four grandchildren, Scott Oliver, of Corydon, Todd Oliver of Florida, Andrea Rigsby of Illinois and Thomas Lane of Bedford, five great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by, his parents, one grandson, Brian Lane and 12 brothers and sisters. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 12:30 pm on Saturday, November 3rd at Cresthaven Mausoleum with Rev. Richard Tallman officiating. Burial will follow. Military rites will be accorded at the grave by The American Legion Honor Guard Guillen Post No. 33. Friends may call from 10:00 am 12:00 pm on Saturday at Day & Carter Mortuary.
