Obituary of Loyce DeLane Nikirk

Bedford Loyce DeLane Nikirk, 59, of Bedford, died at 6:30 pm on Thursday, September 13, 2007 at the Bloomington Hospital. Born April 21, 1948 in Greene Co., she was the daughter of Ralph and Jennie (McBride) Rainey. She married Russell Nikirk in 1973 and he survives. She retired from RCA in Bloomington after thirty-five years and then worked at T.I.S. Book Warehouse for several years. She was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, Russell of Bedford; one daughter, Ginger Nikirk and her significant other, Adam Bradley of Bloomington; two brothers, Fred Rainey and his wife, Susie and Gib Rainey and his wife, Colleen all of Bloomington; three sisters, Sharon Chandler and her husband, Larry of Bloomington, Rebecca Stanger of Solsberry, Evelyn Prince and her husband, Tim of Springville; several nieces, nephews, brothers and sisters-in law. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Harold Dean and Curtis Rainey; one sister, Joann Neely. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Monday, September 17th from the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Fred Stanger and Claude Cobb officiating. Burial will follow in the Owensburg Cemetery. Friends may call from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Sunday, September 16th and from 12:00 noon until the hour of service on Monday, September 17th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
