Obituary of L. Barnett

Springville L. Jean Barnett, 73, of 167 Brick Street, Springville, IN, died Monday, January 12, 2004 at Bloomington Hospital in Bloomington, IN. Born November 3, 1930 in Frankfort, Kentucky, she was the daughter of Edmund and Stella (Webb) Graves. She married H. Martin Barnett on November 6, 1948 and he survives. She was a beautician in Springville and a member of the Methodist church and the Order of the Eastern Star. Surviving with her husband are two daughters, Kathy Oliver and her husband, Jim and Geri Embree and her husband, Pat all of Springville; four grandchildren, Patrick Embree II of Springville, Cristopher Embree of Omaha, Nebraska, Brandi Wright of Bedford and Todd Oliver of Panama Beech, FL; ten great grandchildren; two brothers, Gayle Graves of Henderson, KY and Cecil Graves of Bloomfield. She was preceded in death by her parents, two daughters, Penny Jean and Rebecca Nell Barnett (both in infancy); six brothers, Ken, Hubert, Tom, Houston, Dorsey and Maurice Graves; two sisters, Kathleen Graves and Claudine Hanks Slate. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, January 14th from the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Bro. Merla Craig officiating. Burial will follow in Cresthaven Memory Gardens. Friends may call from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, January 13th and from 12:00 noon until the hour of service on Wednesday at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
