Obituary of Mannie I. Neal

Bedford Mannie I. Neal, 98, of Bedford, died at 9:42 pm on Monday, October 31, 2005 at the home of her daughter in Bedford. Born December 29, 1906 in Elnora, IN, she was the daughter of Samuel and Maggie (Kirk) McCain. She married Frank Neal in 1924. She was employed at the Greystone Hotel in Bedford and retired from Indiana University. She was a member of the Free Methodist Church. Survivors include one daughter, Avis Ramsay and her husband, Harry of Bedford; one sister, Grace Sylvester of Bloomington; one daughter-in-law, Mae Neal Davis of Bedford; eight grandchildren, Susan Tedrow and her husband, Dennis of Bedford, Shirley Hamilton and her husband, Bob of Salem, Debra Reese of Bloomington, Tim Ramsay and his wife, Lisa of Bedford, Lawanna Morris and her husband, Byron of Hardinsburg, Sandy McFarland and her husband, Jim of Bedford, Becky Douglas and her husband, Charlie of Bedford, Bill Neal of Bedford; eighteen great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sons, Thomas Eugene and William Neal; five brothers, Ross, Harley, Winfred, Roy and Harold McCain; one sister, Thelma Pace and one great grandchild. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am on Thursday, November 3rd from the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Pastor Ronnie McLain officiating. Burial will follow in Beech Grove Cemetery. Friends may call from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, November 2nd and from 10:00 am until the hour of service on Thursday at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
