Obituary of Robert E. Moore

Bedford Robert E. Moore, 75, of 115 Stoneway Drive, Bedford, died at 4:00 pm on Saturday, April 24, 2004 at Cox South Hospital in Springfield, MO. Born October 27, 1928 in Lawrence County, he was the son of Earl and Dorval (Butcher) Moore. He married Norma Hall who preceded him in death after fifty years of marriage. He later married Eva Romans and she survives. He retired from Mitchell Transport after twenty-five years and was a member of Crossroads Community Church. Survivors include his wife, Eva Romans Moore of Bedford; one daughter, Roanna Deckard and her husband, James of Bedford; two grandchildren, Robert Deckard and his wife, Rhonda and Joni Hayes and her husband Jeff all of Bedford; four step-daughters, Sherry Odom and her husband Phil of Pensacola, FL, Tammy Bay and her husband Ed of Bedford, Sonja Zind and her husband Chris of Springfield, MO and Toni Mikulich and her husband Daniel of Spencer, IN; three step-sons, Ricky Romans and his wife Wanda and Scott Romans all of Cincinnati, OH and Ron Romans of Bedford, seventeen step grandchildren; two great grandchildren; four brothers, Russell Moore and his wife Marilyn of Bloomington, Richard Moore, Ralph Moore and his wife Donna and Raymond Moore and his wife Tona all of Bedford. He was preceded in death by his parents, first wife, Norma, one son, Roland Moore, one granddaughter, Jami Lynn Deckard, two sisters, Wanda Moore and Wilma Daughtery and one nephew, Jerry Boofer. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am on Wednesday, April 28th at the Crossroads Community Church with Pastor Ken Ransom officiating. Burial will follow in Clover Hill Cemetery in Harrodsburg. Friends may call from 2:00 pm to 9:00 pm on Tuesday, April 27th at the Day & Carter Mortuary and from 10:00 am until the hour of service on Wednesday, April 28th at the Crossroads Community Church.
