Obituary of John L. Moore

Oolitic John L. Moore, 77, of Oolitic, died at 11:30 pm on Sunday, December 14, 2008 at his residence. Born November 27, 1931 in Lawrence Co., he was the son of Carl and Merle (Hall) Moore. He married Donna Todd on June 18, 1955 and she survives. He retired from the Oolitic Water Works after thirty years of service. Survivors include his wife, Donna, of Oolitic; two daughters, Shirley A. Teegen and her husband, Kenneth of Mitchell, Kathy J. Basler of Mitchell; three grandchildren, Leif Aaron Teegen of Noblesville, John Wesley Teegen of Indianapolis and Shayla J. Basler of Mitchell; three sisters, Francis Hickman of Bloomington, Pearl Patton and Ruby Henderson both of Bloomington; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Kenneth Wayne Moore; two brothers and three sisters. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 pm on Wednesday, December 17th from the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary. Burial will follow in the Old Union Cemetery. Friends may call from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, December 16th and from 12:00 noon until the hour of service on Wednesday, December 17th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
