Obituary of Linda Lee Montgomery

Bedford Linda Lee Montgomery, 51, of Bedford, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 18, 2010 after her long fight with Leukemia. Born December 3, 1958 in St. Joseph MI, Linda graduated in the class of 1977 from Westport High School in Louisville, KY. She graduated from Murray State University, Murray, KY with a B.S. in Home Economics. Linda married Tom Montgomery of Bedford, IN on May 26, 1984 at Springdale Presbyterian Church in Louisville, KY. She was a loving member of the Mitchell Presbyterian Church. Lindas mission was to fill the world with love, in which she did through so many precious friendships. Lindas passion in life was to nurture and care for children. Such a fitting personality for her time spent as an aid and Home School Advisor in the North Lawrence Community School System. Linda was also a very talented artist which she shared generously with the community, friends, and family. She was preceded in death by her mother Janet Swerbinsky. She is survived by her husband, Tom Montgomery of Bedford; son, Bryan Anthony Montgomery and wife, Laura Montgomery; daughter, Ashley Janette Montgomery; son, Casey Thomas Montgomery; father, Leo Swerbinsky of Louisville; sister, Jane Murden of Roan Montain, TN; brother, Bryan Swerbinsky of Greensboro, NC; three nieces and two nephews. Funeral Information Viewing will be from 10:00 am until 2:30 pm on Saturday, May 22nd at the Day & Carter Mortuary. A graveside service will be conducted at 3:00 pm on Saturday, May 22nd at the Green Hill Cemetery with Lee Hupp officiating.
