Obituary of June Hewetson

Bedford June Hewetson, 79, of Bedford, died at 7:52 am on Tuesday, January 5, 2010 at the Dunn Memorial Hospital. Born November 30, 1930 in Lawrence Co., she was the daughter of Jesse and Kathleen (Sorrels) King. She married Bruce R. Hewetson on May 31, 1950 and he preceded her in death. She was a homemaker and devoted her life to her family. She was an avid reader and enjoyed traveling, playing cards, crocheting and other crafts. Survivors include a daughter, Debra Dermody and husband, Frank of Pittsburgh, PA; a son, Donald Hewetson and wife, Teri of Rock Hill, SC; a daughter-in-law, Julie Hewetson of Bedford; seven grandchildren, Frank Dermody, Cara Dermody, Clint Hewetson, Jessica Hewetson, Dirk Hewetson, Barron Hewetson and Anah Hewetson; one great grandson, Dylan Hewetson; a brother, Sam King and wife, Freda of Jackson, MI. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and one son, Bruce A. Hewetson. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Friday, January 8th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Pastor Eric Kennedy officiating. Burial will follow in Cresthaven Memory Gardens. Friends may call from 12:00 noon until the hour of service on Friday, January 8th at the Day & Carter Mortuary. Donations Information .
