Obituary of Dale F. Miller
BedfordDale F. Red Miller, 95, of 127 Edgewood Drive, Bedford, passed away at 3:40 P.M. Saturday, January 19th at Garden Villa in Bedford.Born on October 1, 1912 in Bedford, IN, he was the son of Elmer Miller and Pearl (Gyger) Miller. He retired from Tool & Die at N.W.S.C. Crane and also from farming. Mr. Miller was of Baptist Faith, a Veteran of WWII serving in the Navy and a member of the Bedford American Legion Gillen Post #33. He was an avid high school basketball fan. He first married Frances Baugh and she passed away On May 3, 1936; he then married Betty L. Girdley on February 16, 1952 and she survives.Surviving in addition to his wife, Betty is one daughter: Marilyn A. Hayes and her husband, Frank of Bedford; three grandchildren: Cathy A. Goodin and her husband, Pat of Bedford; Kimberly J. Hall and her husband, Danny of Bedford and J.D. Hayes of Bedford; nine great grandchildren: Natalie Buente and her husband, Brian; Justin Goodin and his wife, Jennifer; Shannon Spires and her husband, Joey; Nathan Hall and his wife, Holly; Lauren Simpson and her husband, Brian; Baron Hall and his wife, Erica; Alex Crane; Wil Hayes and Anna Hayes; one sister: Marjorie Artis and her husband Glenn of Kokomo, IN; eight great, great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, first wife, Frances; one sister: Thelma Evans and two brothers: Bill and Don Miller. Funeral Information
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, January 23rd from the Elmwood Chapel of Day & Carter Mortuary with Clarence Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery where military rites will be accorded at the grave by the American Legion Gillen Post #33. Friends may call on Tuesday, January 22nd from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Day & Carter Mortuary. Donations Information
