Obituary of Franklin Lee Meadows

Springville Franklin Lee Meadows, 69, of 85 Greer Lane, Springville, died at 3:08 pm on Tuesday, June 9, 2009 at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. Born February 12, 1940 in Lawrence Co., he was the son of Ernest Albert and Thelma (Goodman) Meadows. He married Donna A. Andis on October 11, 1961 and she preceded him in death on November 23, 2006. He retired from Otis Elevator in Bloomington and was of the Baptist Faith. Survivors include one daughter, Tina Lynn Phillips and husband, Wesley of Springville; one son, Franklin Lee Meadows II and fiance, Shanon of Bicknell; five grandsons, Daniel Curtis Phillips, Darren Wesley Phillips, Sean Mathew Meadows, Dylan Scott Meadows, Ethan Andrew Meadows; six granddaughters, Meryssa Arlene Meadows, Ashley, Ivy, Cynthia, Jennifer and Stephanie Goen; one sister, Betty Lou Meadows of Bedford; one brother, Mike Meadows and wife, Mary of Taylorsville; his mother-in-law, Bertha Andis of Springville; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, his parents, two daughters, Tonya Lee and Sonya Dee; one grandson, Christopher Lee Meadows. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am on Friday, June 12th from the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Bro. Rick Turner officiating. Burial will follow in Cresthaven Memory Gardens. Friends may call from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, June 11th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
