Obituary of Ila Mae Meadows

Bedford- Ila Mae Meadows, 91 of Bedford, passed away 5:25 PM Saturday, May 29th at Westview Manor Nursing Home. Born January 5, 1913 in Tompkinsville, KY she was the daughter Frank Grogan and Sadie Louella (Dicken) Grogan. She attended the First Christian Church, Charter Member of Eagles, Moose Auxiliary, Life member of Oolitic VFW, American Legion and a life member of the Bedford Boat Club. On June 27, 1930 she married Clarence Meadows and he preceded her in death on January 27th 1984. Surviving is one great niece: Glenda Wellman of Bedford, one great nephew: Denny Grogan and his wife Beverly of Bedford; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband; four brothers: Edward Grogan who was Bedfords former street commissioner, Marvin Grogan, Oscar Grogan and Charles E. Grogan. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Wednesday, June 2nd in the Elmwood Chapel of Day & Carter Mortuary with Johnny Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Beech Grove Cemetery. Friends may call at Day & Carter Mortuary on Tuesday, June 1st from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM with an Eagles Auxiliary Service to be conducted at 7:00 PM.
