Obituary of Stanley B. McVicker

Bedford Stanley B. McVicker, 75, of Bedford, died at 4:07 pm on Tuesday, November 1, 2011 at I.U. Health Bloomington Hospital. Born July 30, 1936 in Illinois, he was the son of Cecil Brenton and Georgia (Wright) McVicker. He married Mabel Frances Wagner on October 19, 1956 and she survives. He retired as a supervisor from Ameritech after thirty-five years. He was a member of the Bedford Masonic Lodge #14 F & AM, Scottish Rite Valley of Indianapolis, Telephone Pioneers of America and past president of the White River Humane Society. Survivors include his wife, Frances, of Bedford; a daughter, Belinda Swango and husband, Mike, of Bedford; two sisters, Anne McVicker and Brenda Carol Sowers both of Arizona; a brother, Joe McVicker of Canton, GA; a sister-in-law, Pat McVicker of Bedford several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Roy McVicker. Funeral Information Graveside services will be conducted at 2:30 pm on Saturday, November 5th at Cresthaven Memory Gardens with Pastor Jim Stevens officiating. Burial will follow. Visitation will be from 12:00 noon until 2:00 pm on Saturday, November 5th at the Day & Carter Mortuary. A Masonic service will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Saturday at the mortuary.
