Obituary of Ruth McGlothlin

Bedford Ruth McGlothlin, 76, of Bedford, died peacefully at 10:15 pm on Tuesday, June 28, 2011 at Garden Villa in Bedford with her family by her side. Born August 17, 1934 in Bloomington, she was the daughter of John Elza and Frances L. (Corbin) Wiles. She married Mackay McGlothlin and he preceded her in death in 1996. She had worked at P.R.D. in Bedford. She was a member of the American Veterans, Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She was a very loving and wonderful mother and grandmother who devoted her life taking care of her family. She enjoyed going to play bingo with her granddaughter, Amber. Survivors include two daughters, Melissa McGlothlin and companion, Joanna Edwards of Mitchell and Cathy Williams and husband, Jon of Bedford; one son, Corky McGlothlin and wife, Cindy of Bedford; one brother, Larry Wiles and wife, Carol of Bedford; four granddaughters, Amber Grogan and husband, Cheyenne of Crane, Joy McGlothlin and Gabrielle McGlothlin both of Bedford, Wendy Arthur of Bloomington; four grandsons, Joe McGlothlin, Michael Boles and Robbie Boles all of Bedford, Jon Williams, Jr. of Bloomington; fifteen great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, three brothers, Buddy, J.R. and Austin Wiles and one sister, Betty Flick. Funeral Information Graveside services will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Friday, July 1st at Clover Hill Cemetery in Harrodsburg with Pastor Tim Wiles officiating. Burial will follow. No visitation hours are scheduled. Flowers may be sent to the mortuary.
