Obituary of Larry David McCart
Bedford Larry David McCart, 65, of Bedford, went home to Glory Land last night, after a lengthy illness. Born February 3, 1939 in Indianapolis, he was the son of Lowell and Mary Alice (Wright) McCart. He married Judith Pritchett of Oolitic on August 30, 1959 and she survives.
He was a beloved husband, father and grandfather, and a member of the Tunnelton United Methodist Church.
Graduating from Indiana State University in 1962, he taught in the North Lawrence and Mitchell School systems for 13 years, before retiring as the Lawrence County Welfare Director after 17 years of service.
Larry was an avid fisherman who loved the outdoors. His children and grandchildren were his pride and joy.
In addition to his wife, survivors include four children, daughters, Tracy Lee and husband David, Terri Kimbley and husband Steve. Sons, Scott McCart and wife Shalon, David McCart and wife Meleah. There are four grandchildren, Rebekah and Reece McCart, Patrick and Andrea Lee. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00am on Thursday, April 1, 2004 from the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Rev. Fred Barger officiating. Burial will follow in the Tunnelton Cemetery.
Friends may call from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Wednesday, March 31, 2004 and from 9:00 am until the time of service on Thursday at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
