Obituary of Brian E. Mathis

Bedford Brian E. Mathis, 56, of Bedford, died at 9:25 am on Friday, August 27, 2010 at his residence. Born August 13, 1954 in Lawrence Co., he was the son of Carrol and Joan (Bush) Mathis. He married Donna M. Hicks on March 11, 1977 and she survives. He retired from NWSC CRANE in 2009 after thirty-eight years as an engineer. At the time of his death, he was employed at Tri Star Engineering. He was a member of the Community Baptist Fellowship Church and was an avid St. Louis Cardinals baseball fan. Survivors include his wife, Donna, of Bedford; his parents, Carrol and Joan Mathis; one daughter, Lori N. McIntosh and husband, Brandon of Bedford; one son, Jason Mathis and wife, Sarah, of Bloomington; two grandchildren, Adalynn and Jaxon McIntosh; one sister, Cathy Root and husband, John, of Salem; one brother, Todd Mathis and wife, Mary, of Phoenix, AZ and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Monday, August 30th at the Community Baptist Fellowship Church with Pastor Eric Kennedy officiating. Burial will follow in the Green Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Sunday, August 29th at the Community Baptist Fellowship Church.
