Obituary of Virginia M. Massey

Bedford Virginia Mae Massey, 84, of Bedford formerly of Columbus, IN, died at 9:33 am on Sunday, June 6, 2004 at Dunn Memorial Hospital. Born October 23, 1919 in Bedford, she was the daughter of Ona Franklin and Mary Wilma (Sharpe) Roberts. She married Herschel Massey on December 24, 1938 and he preceded her in death on March 31, 1965. She was a waitress at Moons Restaurant for twelve years and a member of the Bethel Holiness Church in Columbus. Survivors include one daughter, Nancy Mowery of Columbus; one sister, Ruth E. Moore of Bedford; two grandchildren, Kristi Jo and Mike Mowery both of Columbus; three great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers, Harry and Jim Roberts; two sisters, Viola Bunch and Betty Colburn. Funeral Information Graveside services will be conducted at 2:30 pm on Tuesday, June 8th at the Green Hill Cemetery with Rev. Leonard Sankey officiating. No calling hours are scheduled.
