Obituary of Frank Calvin Manzenberger

Oolitic Frank Calvin Manzenberger, 82, of Oolitic, died at 4:05 am on Monday, February 14, 2011 at Stonebridge Health Campus. Born July 19, 1928 in Lawrence County, IN, he was the son of John F. and Alpha Mae (Bartlett)Manzenberger. He married Rosemary Todd on May 1, 1948 and she survives. Frank graduated from Heltonville High School in 1946. He started out working in the stone industry, as a planerman for 16 years, while serving as Pleasant Run Township Trustee. He became the first Building, Grounds and Transportation Supervisor at NLCS from 1966-1973. His next job was Director of Plant Facilities at Bedford Medical Center before taking the job as Vice President of Support Services, where he retired in 1991. He was a member of Hillcrest Christian Church where he served as an Elder. He was also a member of the Rotary Club. He enlisted and served in the U.S. Navy from 1946-1948. Frank enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing croquet, and spending time with his grandchildren. Survivors include his wife, Rosemary, his children; Lynn David Manzenberger, Shelley Fox and husband, Jerry, Donald Manzenberger, grandchildren; John David Manzenberger and wife Kimi, Jeffrey Manzenberger and wife Amanda, Jay Dustin Fox, Jeremy Fox and wife Jennifer, Natasha Martin and husband Bill, Avery Rose Meinhardt and husband Jason, Abbey Quinn Manzenberger and Alex Ben Manzenberger, great grandchildren; Matalie Rose Martin, Wyatt Martin, Maverick Martin, Jachin Fox, Dustin Fox, Noah Calvin Manzenberger, Step-great grandchildren; Zack Wolcott, Klay Cleek and Madison Meinhardt, sisters; Mildred Deckard, Luella Clampitt, Alpha McKnight and Angeline Sego and husband Max. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Bill, Joe, and Johnny Manzenberger, sisters; Helen Reuter, Catherine Covey, and Mary Jane Moses, and grandson, Thomas George. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted 10:00 am on Thursday, February 17, 2011 at Hillcrest Christian Church with Brother Charles Delaney and Brother Charlie Scott officiating. Burial will follow in Mundell Cemetery. Military rites will be accorded at the grave. Visitation will be held from 3:00 pm 8:00 pm on Wednesday, February 16th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
