Obituary of Christopher Lynn Mannix II

Bedford Christopher Lynn Mannix, II, 25, of Bedford, died Monday, June 30, 2014 at his residence. Born July 27, 1988 in Lawrence Co., he was the son of Christopher L. and Angie (Jackson) Mannix. He was a machine operator at Samco. He was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church and attended the Free Methodist Church. He loved fishing, going to the creek side, jamming with his friends to the beat of the drums and strumming his Yamaha guitar. He loved his dogs, Roadie and Miller and most of all, he loved life, family and friends. He would steal your heart with that radiant smile. It would light up the room. He was a very compassionate and caring young man. He loved and laughed big. Survivors include his girlfriend, Tiffany McCarty of Bedford; his life-long friend, Troi Dawn Barksdale of Bedford; his mother, Angie, of Bedford; his father, Chris Mannix and wife, Cheri of Bedford; a brother, Clayton Arnold of Bedford; his maternal grandfather, Patrick Jackson and wife, Margie, of Clarksville; his paternal grandmothers, Elaine Owens of Florida and Elizabeth Hickerson of Bedford; aunts and uncles, Teri Patrick and husband, Franklin of Saudi Arabia, Todd Mannix , B.J. Mannix and wife, Jennifer all of Florida, Kelly Spivey of Indianapolis, Deanna Rollins, Frank Rogowski and Pam Jackson all of Bedford, Danny Jackson and Carrie Chastain of Oolitic, Tricia Staggs and husband, Dannie of Bedford; cousins, Kirsten Brown, Evan Patrick, Ashley Mannix, Cody Mannix, Kenna Spivey, Benjamin Brown, Ava Brown, April Rollins, Carmen Stewart, Jake Jackson, Sara Jackson, Haley Chastain, Logan Chastain, Portia Snoddy, Daniel Staggs, Marc Staggs, Keilan, Kestin and Justice McVicker. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfathers, Lynn Buddy Mannix and Doug Hickerson; his maternal grandmother, Peggy Granny Peg Jackson. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Sunday, July 6th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Father Rick Eldred officiating. Burial will follow in the Mitchell Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Saturday, July 5th at the Day & Carter Mortuary. Pallbearers are Danny Jackson, Evan Patrick, Franklin Patrick, B.J. Mannix, Todd Mannix and Dannie Staggs. Honorary pallbearers are Mike Rollins, Frank Rogowski, Charlie Murphy, Chris Fleenor, Chase Neeley and Clayton Arnold. Honorary motorcycle escort is Mike Miller, Tim Butcher, Terry Stevens, Richard Hagemier, Jesse Bubba Gilliland.
