Myra and I became friends in the 3rd grade. I remember her writing cute stories in the 4th grade. Her talent for writing through the years reminded me a little of newspaper columnist Erma Bombeck. She continued to write and mail me cards, letters and her fun stories through the years. Not too many years ago I went back to Bedford to visit with her. She and I took a road trip visiting thrift stores in southern Indiana. We had a blast on our treasure hunt and reliving memories. Myra was wonderful, caring and thoughtful lady who I loved dearly as my oldest, bestest friend. She talked often about her love for God and she looked forward to spending eternity with Him. I'm so sorry Denver. Your Myra was such a light in your life and I enjoyed her in my life ! She was so precious to make the lovely quilt for me and my grandchildren to enjoy, and we certainly use it and talk about the nice lady who made it for them and she never knew them !!!! But she did know how they came into my life....and the whole story of how she made it when she was in treatment, really touched my heart ! Thank you , Denver for introducing her to us in the optical.....Andrew and I both loved you guys and have been so concerned for you thru the years. I can't imagine how lost you must feel without her....I will cherish the memories and I know we will meet again in the new heaven and earth. God was a big presence in her life and we shared talks of his goodness. I've missed keeping up with you guys these last few yrs. Count your blessings everyday, you have many, and live with the good memories ! Love and peace to you, June from Sams

Memories of Myra as a constant blessing to us all. I admired her greatly and no matter how long we were apart it was just like no time had passed when we were together again. Always an excitement in the air around her as if she electrified it with her persona. She literally lit up the room when she walked in. She was magnetic. This was always a fact from a very young age. She drew people to her like moths to a light. Known for her creativity in planning events, decorating and the unique games she brought to the party. It was not a party until Myra arrived. Wonderful cook (like her Mom Elsie) and always an extra seat at the table for visitors. Myra's created a warm welcoming home where everyone was welcome. I have never seen her happier when she introduced me to Dallas, a perfect match that brought traveling adventures and a desire to keep moving onward/upward. Myra fought lung cancer and won several more years to bestow love and joy on all of us. She always put others first. We will all miss our beautiful Myra's human presence and she will ever stay in our hearts to remind us we are loved.
