Obituary of Paul J. Farrell, Jr.

Bedford - Paul J. Farrell, Jr., 84, of Bedford, passed away at 9:48 pm on Wednesday, July 24, 2024, at Stonebridge Health Campus. Born August 2, 1939, in Lawrence County, he was the son of Paul Farrell, Sr. and Marie (Anderson) Farrell. He married Sally McDowell and she preceded him in death. He later married Norma J. Seidle and she also preceded him in death. He retired from NSWC Crane. Survivors include two daughters, Paula Farrell, of Bloomington and Cheri Farrell and partner, Christine Atchison, of IL; step-children, Tracy Holtsclaw and husband, Scott, of Bedford, Darren Godsey and wife, Peggy, of Williams, Mark Godsey and wife, Vickie, of Loogootee; grandchildren, Courtney Blackwell and husband, Evan, Kennedy LaFree and husband, Jacob, Lynnsie Greenan and husband, Pat, Terry Godsey and wife, Bethany, Danae Godsey, Cori Hall and husband, Kyle, Kyle Wykoff and wife, Kelsey; Leah Wykoff, great-grandchildren, Emrie and Emitt Blackwell, Adeline Riggs, Willow Godsey, Ava, Marcus and Khloee Wykoff, Violet and Malachai Bogard and Palmer LaFree. He was preceded in death by his parents, both wives and a brother, Sonny Farrell. Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 noon on Monday, July 29th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Millard Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Dive Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until the hour of service on Monday at the Day & Carter Mortuary. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
