Obituary of Lana D. Lyons
Spring City, Tennessee Lana D. Lyons, 60, of 790 Roddy Straight, Spring City, Tennessee, formerly of Bedford, Indiana, died at 10:30 am on Saturday, June 28, 2008 at the Methodist Memorial Hospital in Oakridge, Tennessee.
Born January 12, 1948 in Bedford, IN, she was the daughter of Harry and Thelma (Graham) Magers. She married Charles D. Lyons on June 1, 1985 and he survives. She was formerly employed at the Dunn Memorial Hospital as a technician in the medical lab and had served as a second shift supervisor. Lana and Dave had also operated the Bedford Cinema.
Surviving with her husband, Charles of Tennessee is her father, Harry Magers of Bedford; one son, Lane Magers and his wife, Bobbette of Bedford; two daughters, Lynn A. Jenkins and her husband, Marty of Spring City, TN, Tara R. Almond and her husband, Gary of Lynn Haven, FL; two brothers, Barry D. Magers and his wife, Penny, Jahn Magers and his wife, Kelly all of Bedford; nine grandchildren, Marty Jenkins, Johnathan Jenkins, Caleb Jenkins, Mikey Jenkins, McKinzie Magers, Morgan Magers, Emmalee Magers, Taryn Inman and Nathan Almond. She was preceded in death by her mother, Thelma, three aunts, Gladys Swango, Pearl Clark and Ruby Frye. Funeral Information
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Thursday, July 3rd from the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Rev. David Ferry officiating. Burial will follow in the Green Hill Cemetery. Friends may call from 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, July 2nd and from 11:00 am until the hour of service on Thursday, July 3rd at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
