Obituary of Twila Faye White

Born to Ruth (Davis) and Dan Naylor on September 14th, 1935 in Effingham, IL, Twila Faye White lived a beautiful, rich life, most of which was spent in Bedford, Indiana. She passed peacefully at home on December 18, 2023, with her husband at her side. Twila was married to her childhood best friend, Harold Dean White, and together they shared five children. She is preceded in death by her sons Charlie Bill Baker, Eddie Mosier, and Tony Mosier, and her granddaughter, Crystal Dawn. She is survived by her beloved husband Harold, their son Edward White and daughter Debbra Prince. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and 17 great-great-grandchildren. Twila made her career at RCA in Bedford before taking early retirement to help care for her growing family, which she loved more than life itself. She was rarely seen without a smile. As one of her “babies”, you could always count on seeing her warm, smiley face in an audience, in the bleachers, or on the sidelines as she cheered us on. She was always there. She was our angel here on this earth and we find comfort knowing she’s been called home to gain her wings, rejoice with her loved ones, and watch over us all. Twila will be missed dearly by her loved ones, near and far, but we have been so graciously blessed by our time with her here. As a great-granddaughter who has the honor and privilege of writing this in remembrance of her, I would be remiss if I didn’t speak about our incredible relationship. I know just how fortunate I am to have had these 29 years with her. This beautiful woman took early retirement to help raise my brother and I as our mother endured a season of single motherhood. As we grew and entered grade school, and even high school, we still chose to spend nearly every weekend with our beloved Mamaw Twila and Papaw Dean because, even then, we knew how truly special this time was. And now, as married adults starting our own families, we rely on our frequent phone calls throughout the week and our weekend visits to sustain our sweet bond. There are many, many more accounts of her grand gestures of love for her family, but there simply aren’t enough words to describe how remarkable Twila Faye White was.
