Obituary of Mikeal W. Brock

Williams – Mikeal W. Brock, 65, of Williams, passed away at 6:31 pm on Friday, December 1, 2023, at I.U. Health Bloomington Hospital. Born June 21, 1958, in Lawrence Co., he was the son of Fred W. and Phyllis (Sipes) Brock. He married Sheila (Stephens) Hoff on February 17, 2003, and she survives. He began working in High School as a carpenter, being taught by his father. He was a member of I.B.E.W. and worked at Hoosier Energy, retiring after 40 years. He was a long-time member of the American Quarter Horse Assoc. (A.Q.H.A.). He bred and raised Quarter Horses and was the owner of Grey Horse Ridge. Survivors include his wife, Sheila, of Williams; four children, Holly Marie Brock, of Bedford, Freddie Brock and wife, Brittany, of Rock Springs, WY, Nathen Hoff and wife, Amanda, of Plainfield, IN, and Matthew Brock and wife, Whitney, of Mitchell; three grandchildren, Keegan Brock, Wren Hoff, and Wylie Brock; siblings, Karen Spreen and husband, Mike, of Williams, Scott Brock and wife, Denise, of Springville, Pam Clines and husband, William, of Silverville, Darla Wyttenback and husband, Ernie, of Mitchell, Lana Robertson and husband, Kevin, of Williams; special cousin, James R. George and wife, Cordilla, of Williams; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Emily Brock (in infancy). Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am on Saturday, December 9th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Duane Terry officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Silverville. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Friday, December 8th and from 10:00 am until the hour of service on Saturday at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
