Always remember scaring Jerry as he watered a shrub for me and I hid and with a distorted voice I said “Thank you Jerry”, scared him so bad.

Shocked and saddened to learn of Jerry's passing. He was my Garvey Lane best childhood buddy ~ we did so much together, even got into trouble a few times. We played basketball and baseball on the lane constantly, mostly basketball at his house. We collected baseball cards together, mostly riding our bikes to Myers Grocery or R St ~ we'd take 50cents and buy 5 packs of cards for 25 cents, then an orange soda and a Hostess fried pie 25 cents - no tax back then. We were huge Yankee fans (that was about the only team on TV back then!) and the last time I was at his house I told him I wanted to take him to Yankee Stadium. I didn't get that done ~ so sad, he would have loved it. RIP my friend. Condolences to you Ruth Ann and family.
