Obituary of Marilyn S. Burnette

Springville – Marilyn S. Burnette, 87, of Springville, passed away on Wednesday, October 25, 2023, at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. Born January 5, 1936, in Greene Co., she was the daughter of Ralph and Mary (England) Heshelman. She married Darrell Burnette in June 1957, and he preceded her in death on August 23, 2000. She retired as an assembly worker for RCA/ Thomson Consumer Electronics. She was a member of the Hilltop Pentecostal Church and loved her family, cooking, and attending church. She enjoyed being a homemaker and mowing her yard. Survivors include two sons, Rusty Burnette and wife, Carmen, of Springville, and Brian Burnette and wife, Ann, of Bedford; a daughter, Sheila Glasgow, of Springville; grandchildren, Andy and Justin Burnette, Amanda Beyers, Paige King, Daniel, Jonathan, and Nathaniel Glasgow; eighteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a grandson, Jeremy Burnette; sisters, Betty, Patty and Barbara Jean. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Saturday, October 28th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Bro. Kevin Maberry and Rusty Burnette officiating. Burial will follow in the Hilltop Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Friday, October 27th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
