Obituary of Maxwell Steven Butler

October 15, 1950 – September 10, 2023 Oolitic – Maxwell Steven Butler, 72, of Oolitic, passed away Sunday, September 10, 2023 at his residence. Born October 15, 1950 in Lawrence County, he was the son of Maxwell Eugene and Matricia Ann (Keithley) Butler. Steve worked at Divine Automotive in Mitchell Indiana for several years. He is survived by a sister, Melodee Ann Charlesworth, an aunt, Mary Ellen Sowders, cousins Jim Sowders, Mary Beth Browning, and Susan Jones. He was preceded in death by his parents, and grandparents, Bert and Winnie Butler, and Bill and Estus Bush. Private family services will be held.
