Mrs.Turner will always be a memory I won't forget. She was a caring devoted Kindergarten aid. Always loved her and Mrs.Luse. May her family be proud she was thought of so highly. Never forgotten. Thanks for your devotion to students.

Mona Gayle’s character shone through her family. The kindness and love of others so evident. When Brady attended Lincoln School she would come to his programs and it was always a pleasure to visit with her. Thinking of all her family at this time.

As was so eloquently put in her beautifully written obituary, it is difficult to summarize my feelings about losing Mona Gayle from our earthly world. I am truly blessed to have known, loved, and been loved by such an indescribably phenomenal woman. She was as wise as she was kind, and I cherish so many pieces of wisdom she shared with me. She and Frank are together again. For that, and for having known these two amazing human beings, I am grateful.
I am holding all of her precious family close in my thoughts and sending much love and prayers for peace and comfort from the One who gives peace that passes understanding.

My husband and I were Frank and Mona Gayle's neighbors in Oolitic for several years. We moved in as a very young couple. They were so welcoming and meant so much to us. We spent a lot of time talking to them in the yard and on the porch. We have wonderful memories of them and miss their smiles and waves when we pull in the drive way. Mona Gayle especially always watched out for us and our girls. A couple of my favorite memories are...
My husband was working in our front flower bed on a hot July day. He came back in the house just a short time after he went out. When I asked him why he was back inside he let me know that Mona Gayle had come over and said it was just too hot for him to be working outside. She told him it was supposed to be less humid tomorrow and he should finish the job then, so the job was finished the next day as she suggested!
We thought a fence was much needed for our backyard to keep the girls safe while playing. Mona Gayle thought it was a good idea too when we explained to her that there was going to be construction and what we were doing. She became very interested in the project and wanted to make sure the fence was being installed correctly, so she watched the workers install the fence out one of her bedroom windows to make sure it was going well. The next time I saw her on the porch she told me she had to quit watching when they made it to the far side of the yard because she had set off her Life Alert necklace on the window frame moving to see! :) She would smile and wave at us from the window when the girls were out jumping on the trampoline or playing on the swing set.
We will be praying for you all during this difficult time!

A wonderful loving woman. Kindergarten teacher for my two sons she went above and the call of duty and truly loved her pupils and wanted the best for each of them. My oldest son rode to kindergarten every day with his grandfather, Marshall George, who was also a teacher. Marshall had to be at school before kindergarten school rooms were open and Mona Gayle would come in early to be with my son before school opened. I saw her off and on through the years and she never forgot my two son's names and always ask about them. She will live on in love through so many that she cared for as a teacher and friend.

When my mom, Janet S Endris, lived at Bliss Place she and Mona Gayle would often share the same table at mealtimes. Mom would recount many of their delightful conversations to me. Mom left Bliss Place in June of 2022 and Mona Gayle was one of her friends she missed the most. Much to Moms surprise and delight she was able to reconnect with Mona recently at Stonebridge. Mom was having a difficult time adjusting to new surroundings but seeing a dear friend again and getting to share stories and memories during mealtimes once again helped her immensely. A few times when I would visit mom I also got to visit with Mona if they were sharing the same table for a meal. One day, Kenny Rodgers music was being played in the dining room. Many residents were singing along. She leaned over to me and informed me that "that wasn't her kind of music" but that she was sure it must be good since so many were singing along. It was always a joy to have conversation with her. My mom will miss her friend and she and I will keep her family in our thoughts and prayers.

Frank & Mona Gayle were our neighbors on Greer Lane. Our son attended Kindergarten with Mona Gayle. It was very difficult for him to call her Mrs.Turner at school when he always called her Mommie Gayle at home since he didn't pronounce Mona correctly.
