Obituary of Mary B. Colgan

Mary B. Colgan March 13, 1959 – July 7, 2023 Spencer – Mary B. Colgan, 64, of Spencer, passed away on Friday, July 7, 2023, at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, OH. Born March 13, 1959, in Richmond, IN, she was the daughter of Don and Mary (Kretzer) Carmichael. She married Lanny Colgan, and he survives. Survivors include her husband, Lanny Colgan of Spencer; three sons, Josh Colgan and his wife Lee, Jeremy Colgan, and Nate Colgan and his wife Brandy; four grandchildren, Aaron Colgan, Abigayle Colgan, Caleb Colgan, and Javin Thorp; one sister, Kathryn Shadday and her husband Jeff; one brother, Tim Carmichael and his wife Sheila; a sister-in-law, Betty (Luke) Mooneyham; a brother-in-law, Larry Reynolds; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father and mother-in-law, Willard and Mary Colgan, and a sister-in-law, Barbara Reynolds. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 pm, on Wednesday, July 12th, in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Millard Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Cresthaven Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until the hour of service time on Wednesday, July 12th, at Day & Carter Mortuary.
