Obituary of Paul E. Sears

Bedford – Paul E. Sears, 77, of Bedford, passed away at 6:02 pm on Wednesday, May 10, 2023, at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. Born June 19, 1945, in Washington Co., he was the son of Kenneth Carl and Violet Evelyn (York) Sears. He married Terri Ellen Smith on August 14, 1965, and she survives. He retired from the maintenance department at General Electric. Surviving with his wife, Ellen, is one daughter, Teresa Lynn Allen, of Bedford; a son, Paul Brian Sears (Denise Riley), of Bedford; a grandson, Dakota Shane Sears, of Bedford; a sister, Violet Carol Mikels, of Bedford; a brother, Farrell Eugene (Bucky) Charles and wife, Linda, of Bedford; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; his step-mother, Helen Kate Sears; a brother, Daniel Kenneth Sears. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am on Tuesday, May 16th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Bro. Larry Ritter and Bucky Charles officiating. Burial will follow in the Judah Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Monday, May 15th and from 10:00 am until the hour of service on Tuesday at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
