Obituary of Doyle W. Hudson

Bedford – Doyle W. Hudson, 75, of Bedford, passed away at 8:30 pm on Saturday, April 8, 2023 at the Hospice House in Bloomington. Born January 18, 1948, in Lawrence Co., he was the son of Marshall D. Hudson and Margie May (Caswell) Redmon. He married Linda Karnes on September 23, 1972, and she survives. He was a heavy equipment operator for H & H Contracting, working out of the Operators Union Local #181 and was an owner/operator. He enjoyed gardening, riding his motorcycle and in his younger years, he raced motorcycles at the Bedford Boat & Sportsmans’ Club Survivors include his wife, Linda, of Bedford; a son, Derrick Adrian Hudson of Bedford; three brothers, Dannie L. Hudson and wife, Denise, of Bloomington, Kenneth R. Hudson and wife, Judy, of Springville, and Stewart H. Hudson and wife, Shelia, of Ft. Ritner; a half-sister, Janet L. Campbell, of Spencer; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his step-father, George E. Redmon and a half-sister, Cynthia M Redmon. Private memorial services are planned. No visitation is scheduled. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the White River Humane Society.
