Obituary of Margot E. Reuter

Margot E. Reuter, 90, of Bedford, passed away on Saturday, April 1, 2023, at Autumn Trace Bedford. Born on March 3, 1933, in Ihringshausen, Germany, she was the daughter of Georg and Erna (Spangler) Diehl. She married Gordon Reuter in June of 1956, and he preceded her in death. Margot was a longtime member of First Baptist Church of Bedford. Survivors include one son, Ronald Reuter and wife Linda of Bedford; one daughter, Mona Gould and husband Daniel of McCordsville; six grandchildren, Bess Wuertz, Laura Mobley, Alisha Mowry, Erin Reuter, Casey Reuter, Hannah Scherle; nine great-grandchildren and one on the way; one sister, Waltraud Urbanik of Germany; and a daughter-in-law, Ruth Reuter. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son, Raymon Reuter, two brothers, Gunther and Wolfgang Diehl, and one sister, Elvira Kappe. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, April 4th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Pastor Jason Filler officiating with burial following in Green Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12 noon until the hour of service on Tuesday, April 4th at the Day & Carter Mortuary. The family would like to thank Autumn Trace and Southern Care Hospice for the care they provided. Memorials may be made to either Autumn Trace or Southern Care Hospice.
